ESTELLE PERRAULT QUINTET
From France to Taiwan
Following in Youn Sun Nah's footsteps, Estelle Perrault's dual Franco-Taiwanese culture led her to discover jazz with great singers such as Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. Since then, she's been spreading her love of jazz, balancing classicism and melodic modernity. Her voice, hailed with a special mention from the jury at the Sunside Trophies, has a pure, fragile timbre and such particular modulations that she reconnects us to the spirit and breath of the great jazz ladies of the 1930s. Following the critical success of her second album, "Dare That Dream" (Télérama, Radio France, Le Monde, TSF Jazz...). On June 28 in Uzès, she will specially perform 4 tracks from her recent creation "Promises", presented in Paris this spring 2025. A real chance!
THE FESTIVAL
On the eve of the first hot days of the year, and at the exact opposite end of the spectrum from the algorithms, Autres Rivages, an intimate, artivist festival, continues its journey, still taking the byways. Rendezvous for the 31st edition of the Festival!
Cultivating poetry and commitment, it invites all those in search of peaceful moments, away from man's madness, which increasingly bruises a unique yet fragile planet.
"As Sandra Hüller says, "the broader our vision of the world, of people and of ourselves, the more we are able to invite all kinds of emotions, opinions and feelings, and to debate without hating each other".
With these wise thoughts in mind, the gardens of Uzès and the Pays d'Uzès will be draped in a haven for a few ephemeral hours over five dates, the last two of which (Nuit d'Encens and Nuit du Jazz) will feature free admission!
Argentinian sparks, singular musical ripples from the Chris Gonzales/Gerardo Di Giusto/Michel Bachevalier trio and distant Taiwan, magnified by the purity of Estelle Perrault's voice, will be the guests of honor at this year's event. The surprise comes from a creation created in agreement with the Sete national stage, "Yaran", inspired by the emblematic Afghan artist Esmatullah Alizadah, the inspired emissary of the Azara people, on June 29.
A whole constellation of talents to share with each other, among friends, abundantly, without moderation.
Enjoy the festival!
