João Selva Concert - Émergences Water Festival
Presentation
As part of the 5th edition of the Emergences Water Festival, on this second evening at the castle, Brazilian musician João Selva will take you on a musical journey. Standing-room-only concert.
The Artist:
Originally from Rio, João Selva is now one of the leading ambassadors of Brazilian music in France. Now based in Lyon, his sunny and vibrant musical world draws on a wide range of musical influences: from Angolan semba to Cape Verdean funaná, including Caribbean zouk and Congolese rumba. His music is an invigorating dance anthem that blends samba, soul, jazz, and funk. An active advocate for the Amazon, he addresses deforestation, the threat to nature, and his country’s environmental challenges in his songs.
